California is my hometown

Everyone has a hometown, whether from birth or from choice. I have chosen California and all its towns and neighborhoods.

If you believe home is an emotion, as I do, then you may know, as I do, that travel from home is a quest for, as yet unknown, knowledge. For me knowledge is a spiritual gift and spirit uplifting.

I have traveled the world and eventually found that all knowledge and spirituality can be found within the confines of this country between the ocean, desert and mountains. The reason is that its population, individually and as one together possesses all the knowledge and spirituality of the world.

So the minds of those who live in the village of xxxx in the foothills of the Scearys have their own knowledge of life which is as important as the knowledge of those in Los Angeles, or Anaheim or Burkley, or desert city.

John Steinbeck knew the secrets of wisdom and spirituality that abode in the simplest of people and he knew the wickedness and greed in the highest of people. That is why he wrote most of his books about and within California.

I don't look at my life as a checkbook I look at it as a free yard sale.
