Capitalism
I am 79 years old, and I have been going to doctors since I was born. Most of that time it was during the personal service time of our history. Now with the answering machines that ask and answer and computers that take down your answer, the medical profession, just as all other businesses has become impersonal. Doctors should be personal, of all businesses, don’t you think? Granted, the growing population has impacted all businesses, but even more so, capitalism has added greed that makes everything less personal. Highly paid CEOs and the need to show a profit on the Stock Exchange have slowly, but surely, screwed up the world economy, and the formerly good relationship between business and the people.
