Lying, cheating and stealing on the Internet is the new occupation of the insecure, demented, immoral and those not willing to work for a respectable living.
Here we are in what many people call the greatest age of communication, and yet nobody seems to be listening to anything but their own voice and taking selfies of what they think they are. Kids don’t respect teachers anymore because they think they already know it all just by holding an iPhone. It would be better if it were called it an EgoPhone.
The conservative media is blurring the truth and morality.
I have always been an abolitionist…marched and fought, but, right now, the Black shows and advertising are hurting the future solution of bigotry. By pushing mixed couples and producing ethnic shows where everyone is acting stupid, you are straightening white man’s fears and supporting his opinion that all Blacks are beneath him.
It’s my ears and my TV. I want to control the volume. Advertisers, stay out of my house! You are already too deeply invasive in my pocketbook.
TV reality shows add negativity and profanity to make their shows more “exciting.” It is not real and it is not literature, so what is it? Back in the 80s, they fired excellent writers for asking for a wage commensurate with their value and that started the “reality” craze, dumbing down the viewers. And it is a recorded fact that conservatives don’t like education, except Biz-ed, because they know that smart people won’t buy their shit. And we don’t need negativity in entertainment. Life is bad enough. We need getting together, education, compassion and soothing moments.
Just being a social and thinking writer, you have to throw yourself under the bus of ridicule and those less visionary.
My favorite TV is Giants Baseball, PBS and public zoo shows. What does that say about me? My least liked are all reality shows. Let’s not allow advertisers and capitalism to roughen a pure form of sport and entertainment. Keep baseball pure. There are very few things here in 2023 that are moral and B-ball is one of the best forms of moral TV and entertainment. It is a team sport based on the importance of every member of the team, not just stars, as life should be.
Queer Eye for the Strait Guy was one of the most educational shows about the fucked up male American; by the way I am a heterosexual patriot male.
Listen to your genius fiction writers, not to the science fiction movie producers.
By the way, did The Hunger Games TV show teach us how to avoid that travail ever happening ?
Bad violence TV and movies are going to kill hope and create monsters.
Fox TV and all the other channels that increase the volume on all advertising, stop doing this, It is annoying and problematic to many and most of your watchers. Have some respect for the people who watch your shows. I, for, one am going to stop watching all stations that increase volumes. Pushing loud advertising is an obnoxious intrusion and should be punishable by the deafness of the perpetrators
There has got to be some moral, legal and creative code that says you cannot and should not go back and dissect stories written by an author long dead in order to make money off their name, you introduce mysticism, and science fiction into their stories and aspersions to their name. TV Nancy Drew on TV14, D,V, Who are these producers and/or writers who are bacterizing classic stories for profit?
Sci-Fi best movies: 2001: A Space Odyssey, Dune, The Martian, Battleship, Real Genius, Ground Hog Day.
Humans have to get over this cell phone and online flirting crap. It is not good for the creativity factor, and it is sculpting communication blockages and creating automaton people, who are limited by the need to upload and learn new programs, constantly, thereby stealing human IQ. Silicon Valleys all over the world are all self-promoting themselves and propriety stuff that is keeping people from learning and communicating all the other more important stuff like saving the world as Jobs had in mind. To read a book your imagination is creating a picture within your brain which is a much more sustainable memory that you can return to at a moment’s notice.
It is more engaging to read a story on paper or work handson, than reading and hearing an explanation on a computer screen or iPhone.
