Movies and TV today are not helping with any of the problems and questions of being alive right now

In the past I have voiced a desire to sit down with a certain group of people and try to encourage them to change their politics and their (confused) minds. I have more recently learned that confrontation, even for a good reason, is destined to go badly, especially if the intended listener does not have a moral compass. How do you educate an adult who was not taught the foundation of good, bad and cooperation?

Movies and TV today are not helping with any of the problems and questions of being alive right now. They are just exacerbating, almost celebrating, the craziness of human beings. Reality TV, ancient aliens, and sci-fi are using fantasy to take our minds off reality, which keeps us from solving the problems.
